Reading the table as a contractor

Primavera P6 is the enterprise planning standard and Microsoft Project a serious scheduler — both are built around the programme, with billing and material issue living in another system. What you get on a live site

You create the project, break it into a work breakdown of activities, and schedule them on a Gantt with their dependencies. Each activity carries a Bill of Resources — material, labour and machine priced from the resource master — and cost estimation rolls that up against budget before mobilisation. On site, stores issues material against the task, progress and dated logs update against it, drawings and approvals attach to it, and the actual cost builds beside the estimate. Each month you raise the RA or milestone bill from the work actually done, pass subcontractor bills against their POs, and print the document.
